Consultations are arranged rather than automatic — whether you need one, and when we can fit it in, depends on the piece and on your artist's availability, so ask when you enquire. Where one does take place we'll give you our honest assessment: if a design won't work at the size or placement you have in mind, we'll tell you, and suggest alternatives.

Is a consultation free?
Yes — where a consultation takes place it's a no-obligation chat, at no charge. It does need to be arranged in advance with your artist. A deposit is only taken once you decide to book, and it covers the artist's design time.
Will I see the design in advance?
The design is usually finalised on the day of the session rather than sent in advance. This is standard practice and lets the artist adjust sizing and placement once they can see it on your skin.
